Many of the top roads in the world can be found in the States. The most well known is probably the brilliant Route 66, but you will not have any problem finding lots more like it.There are some high quality roads running both east to west and north to south, so getting where you want to go is relatively easy. But what is the best form of transport for youradventure holidays in America?
Camper van. In true back-packer fashion you can pick a cheap campervan at one end of the country and trek across the states in until you sell it at the other end. Because of the extra room you will have, this vehicle is ideal if your vacating in America in a bigger group. Additionally, you don’t have to keep stopping for accommodation and food as you can carry those with you wherever you go
Convertible. There is nothing more iconic than cruising across down those long roads with the top down and the wind in your hair. American people love their convertibles and so there are an incredible variety to take your pick from. Personally I would go for an old Cadillac and would rent rather than buy one. This is what a lot of people do on fly drive holidays All you need now is a model girlfriend/boyfriend and some country and western on the radio to make your trip complete
Motorbike. The coolest way to get around in America has to be getting yourself on two wheels with a big motorbike. This is the most amazing way to soak up the atmosphere and scenery on your travels that America has in abundance. When it comes to choice of bike, it really has to be a Harley Davidson, which again is an American institution that can be bought or rented from pretty much anywhere. If you are going to be using this method of transport, make sure you have the right protective gear as you don’t want to ruin your trip by getting hurt
