The company has not remained limited to simply production of vehicles and has even produced their very own robot ASIMO in 2000 through its involvement in robotics research.
Honda Cars have become more competitive in the market due to their superior fuel efficiency factor. With awareness increasing about global warming this is one factor that could have increased the popularity of Honda. There is evidence that increase in oil prices have lead to an increase in demand for Honda Cars.
Even at the factory level the flexibility of the company has boosted its success. Honda has not been exempt from the list of the victims of the recession. Sales of even Honda Cars dropped but with future forecasts seeming to be favorable the future for this unique company seems to be a sunny one.
